Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered by many to be among the top gymnasts. Biles was the very first gymnast from the United States in history to have won four gold medals in the same Games. in Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to win consecutive World All-Around titles. Biles together with her sister Adria as well as her brother Ronald Biles were adopted as young children by grandparents from Houston. Simone was introduced to the sport by her daycare instructor Aimee Borman when she was just six years old. She was a student at Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles achieved a silver medal at vault in 2010 and also a bronze medal at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She then moved up to competitions at the elite level in 2011. In less than two years, she was the most dominant athlete in the field. Biles stood out for her consistent, having an exuberant and energetic personality and incorporating an extreme amount of difficulty to all her activities - vault uneven floor workouts.
